Considering the lesson in Ease (as you can read on my blog post at bigblogs.com/awakening) on the subject of intentions and our first thoughts here is how you can change your thinking and start with smart thoughts and smart intentions.

When I awoke this morning my thoughts were a bit depressed. Yesterday had been a bit of a lazy day for us as it had been raining and gloomy all day. My spirit had been in that same gloomy feeling mood too and I had even taken that with me to bed. So as I said when I woke I was lying there still feeling that way and pondering a challenge that had put me here in the first place. Thinking about this the thought suddenly occurred to me that I could “choose” how I was feeling and how I was “focusing” on this issue. I could continue to let it beat me up and feel sad, fretful, and depressed OR I could set my Intention to feel good, happy, and grateful for the experience, face the challenge head on, overcome it and move on to what’s next.

So as my feet hit the floor, I smiled, said to myself Good Morning, this is another beautiful, glorious morning where I can go out into the world, being happy. I can create my day, enjoying each moment, being productive, energetic and positive so that I can make a difference today. Once I made this choice and set the intention my whole body responded in a positive, refreshing, relaxed, and ready to go get busy kind of way.

Becoming aware of our ‘first thought”, not only our first thought of the day, but the things we think about all day and being aware of the feelings associated with them then setting our intentions, choosing how we will respond and react to them will be how we live our day and how the events of the day unfold. Whether they will have a positive impact on our lives or a negative influence depends on our intentions.

Go forward today thinking about your thoughts, your feelings based on those thoughts and what your intentions are for the day. How you manage your thoughts and feelings will manifest in your intentions and will also manifest your destiny in the days ahead. Use your smart start thinking so you can obtain the life you want to create for yourself and others each day.
